Program / Project Manager, Operations Manager
Day to Day
- Manage program plans to ensure timely, high‑quality completion aligned with team and organizational goals.
- Monitor and help mitigate program risks, escalating as needed.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, product, UX, and other cross‑functional teams to align efforts and resolve roadblocks.
- Support program reviews with Engineering, Product, UX, and Science leadership to assess progress, address issues, and contribute recommendations.
- Contribute to programs focused on engineering excellence aligned with business and organizational goals.
- Provide regular updates to team members, partners, and leadership on status, challenges, and opportunities.
- Engage cross‑functional partners regularly to gather feedback and help refine processes that support quality and engineering best practices.
- Plan and manage moderately complex programs, supporting project delivery in partnership with engineering and product managers; step in to manage projects as needed.
- Collaborate with program managers and cross‑functional partners to support roadmap planning and execution.
- Assist in conducting risk assessments to help ensure implementation plans meet partner requirements and priorities.
- Communicate effectively with business partners to share updates, gather input, and support program success.
- Help identify root causes of challenges or opportunities and partner with appropriate teams to support timely solutions.
- Support and guide project teams, sharing best practices to enhance project management capabilities.
- Promote collaboration across cross‑functional groups to support alignment and successful program execution.
- Requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience; or a minimum of 8 years with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience.
- Agile and adaptable in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments.
- Proven experience influencing senior management and managing major cross‑functional initiatives.
- Skilled in handling multi‑year, highly technical programs (e.g., infrastructure migration, platform programs, re‑architecture).
- Ability to communicate technical topics to a business audience, and business topics to technical teams.
- Expertise in various product development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
- Experience collaborating with engineering teams to deliver high‑quality products through the software lifecycle, with metrics orientation and a customer‑centric mindset.
