Chris Backemeyer’s campaign in NE-01 is seeking a Finance Director for the 2026 election cycle. We are accepting applications on a rolling basis and are looking to fill the position immediately through the 2026 election.

This position is full-time and based in Lincoln, Nebraska. Non-local applicants must be willing to relocate.

Responsibilities:

• Draft and execute a thorough campaign finance plan incorporating events, meetings, call time, and digital fundraising towards aggressive quarterly goals.
• Hire, train, and manage the finance department of the campaign.
• Serve as the lead fundraiser for the campaign, including staffing events and building relationships with local and national donors and bundlers.
• Oversee and manage all financial data, technology, and tools and interface with partners and vendors as necessary.

Qualifications:

• At least one cycle of campaign finance experience required, two cycles preferred.
• Proficiency in Numero and Act Blue.
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic who is willing to work irregular hours in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, sharp political instincts, and adept problem-solving skills.
• Ties to Nebraska are a plus.

Compensation is competitive, will be commensurate with experience, and includes a healthcare stipend.
