Director, External Reporting & Technical Accounting - Hemphill Exclusive!

Publicly traded Nebraska organization is searching for an accounting leader to join the management team in a key role. This is a great opportunity for a highly technical accounting leader who loves accounting policy research, one-time transactions and taking leadership over the firm’s external financial reporting function.

• Take a lead role in the preparation and filing of all SEC documents including 10K and 10Q and investor presentations
• Lead the quarterly SEC reporting calendar and coordination with external auditors
• Research and due diligence on new accounting pronouncements and guidelines
• Play a key role in developing and establishing accounting policies and procedures for the corporation
• Research accounting treatment related to one-off transactions, acquisitions, divestitures and corporate actions
• Work closely with executives on numerous special projects tied in directly to the company’s strategic decisions in a very competitive, active industry
