Job Summary
Location:
Methodist Physicians Clinic - Health West Address: 16120 W Dodge Rd., Omaha, NE
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm
Responsible for daily operations, staff management, performance improvement, compliance with accreditation standards, budget oversight, and quality outcomes.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of clinical staff.
- Collaborate with the Director—Practice Operations to develop clinic and staff performance goals and objectives.
- Handle the interviewing, selection, and onboarding process of new staff.
- Supervise and complete performance evaluations and/or corrective actions.
- Implement and enforce company policies.
- Conduct regular site visits for all locations when managing multiple clinic sites.
- Serve as liaison for referring physicians, patients, and families.
- Maintain high overall satisfaction ratings from providers, leadership, and staff.
- Act as the first point of contact for patient and customer complaints, investigating and resolving them timely.
- Continuously review operations and propose new processes to reduce costs, increase revenue, and improve efficiencies.
- Maintain knowledge of regulatory, licensure, compliance, and accreditation requirements for all staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Manage clinic financial operations including purchasing, expenses, and personnel management.
- Determine priorities and allocate resources appropriately.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, related field, or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a clinic or healthcare setting.
- Experience in overseeing personnel, hiring, training, evaluating, coaching, and resolving conflicts (minimum two years).
- Alternatively, at least four years of experience with substantial exposure to technical expertise, staff mentorship, decision‑making, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions.
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred.
- Organize and perform multiple tasks, prioritize work assignments, and problem‑solve.
- Advanced interpersonal and customer‑service skills for communicating with staff, physicians, administrators, patients, visitors, and vendors.
- Mentor, supervise, delegate, and evaluate staff.
- Read, write, and comprehend various reports and documents.
- Travel to various locations as needed.
- Understand patient safety hazards and precautionary measures.
- Apply advanced management principles and basic accounting or finance skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and influence change.
- Determine appropriate treatment parameters for patients, including length and intensity.
- Handle patients with physical and mental disabilities tactfully.
- Maintain work reports and prepare periodic treatment reports.
- Perform patient evaluation and apply treatment, and facilitate presentations.
Medium work:
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force, balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, kneeling, sitting, stooping, bending, twisting, carrying, lifting, pulling, pushing, repetitive motions, standing, walking, speaking, hearing, and visual tasks. Work involves occasional electrical shock/chemical exposure and biological agents through patient contact.
