Job Description

Job Description: The Distribution Center Manager will profitably manage the receipt, storage, and transfer of slabs and tile products at the Distribution Center in a safe and cost‑effective manner. The position must ensure a consistent and proper flow of slabs and tile to customers while building sales relationships and maintaining accurate record‑keeping of the company’s inventory asset investment. The DC Manager is accountable for regional sales, profitable growth, delivery, and quality metrics.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Closely manage day‑to‑day operations of the Distribution Center.
  • Build relationships with business partners and ensure customer satisfaction. Recommend and initiate changes as needed to improve overall customer service.
  • Communicate effectively with Operations Managers regarding all DC‑related initiatives.
  • Manage the inventory process to regularly obtain an accurate inventory of products through system cycle counts against physical counts; communicate inventory levels needed to meet sales demands.
  • Coordinate DC activities to ensure objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost‑effective manner.
  • Ensure employees have necessary tools, resources, and training to perform their jobs.
  • Store slabs safely in a logical and orderly manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized Distribution Center to promote the Cambria brand image.
  • Interact and collaborate regularly with District Managers and Market Representatives in the region.
  • Maintain a safe work environment for all employees while complying with OSHA, DOT/FMCSA, and company safety standards.
  • Manage internal fleet while following DOT regulations.
  • Maintain warehouse equipment to safety and operations standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements

Education: Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Experience: Prior experience in a warehouse or operations environment; minimum 5 years of management experience.

Systems: Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Superior organizational skills and the ability to act with urgency while maintaining focus under pressure.
  • Highly detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and thrives in a fast‑paced, multi‑project team environment.
  • Proven record in customer satisfaction, including addressing customer concerns effectively.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to develop, motivate, and manage a team.
  • Professional appearance reflecting a premium brand.
  • Ability to work extended hours as needed.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Managerial Responsibilities
  • Responsible for hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Act as a visible leader and provide support to all Distribution Center employees.
  • Provide oversight and direction to employees and ensure compliance with company‑wide initiatives, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote a positive and engaging work environment, encourage open communication and maintain positive employee relations.
Travel Requirements
  • Ability to travel to other Cambria locations as needed.
Physical Requirements
  • Perform light to heavy physical tasks; lift up to 50 pounds; bend, reach, walk, or stoop occasionally. Spend prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Salary

Cambria’s starting salary range for this position is $80,000 - $115,000.
