Position: Small Projects Coordinator

Overview

Reports To:

VP of Project Operations

Qualifications
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and flexible to accommodate changes
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong ability to collaborate with others to accommodate constantly changing manpower needs
Responsibilities
  • Manage projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within scope and within budget by:
    • Complete the job setup for all new projects
    • Partnering with project managers to review detailed project labor plans, track progress throughout and adjust the plan as needed, communicating with stakeholders (field team, project managers, customers) as needed
    • Coordinating and adjusting the small projects field team schedules for maximum efficiency, strategizing to share labor from service team and large project teams (Omaha and Lincoln) to execute job schedules
    • Assist with change-orders to customers when project scope is adjusted
  • Collaborate with accounts receivable to ensure timely billing and payment on projects
  • Forecast short- and long-term manpower needs
  • Coordinates ongoing safety/customer training and badging for the small projects field team
  • Attends department project planning meetings to review long-term scheduling
  • Cultivate strong relationships with the small projects team, understanding their abilities, strengths/weaknesses, skillsets, badging/access needs and licenses for the success of each project
Preferred Certificates/Licenses/Education
  • College degree preferred and/or 3-5 years of experience in the Mechanical/HVAC/Plumbing (or related) industries, or prior dispatching experience
  • Knowledge of the local unions (464, 16,
    3) and trade line agreements preferred, not required
