We are seeking an experienced Federal Client Leader to expand our presence across the U.S. Military A/E/C industry and develop meaningful client partnerships to promote delivery of innovative architecture, engineering, and planning solutions that make a lasting impact as part of our Federal Leadership Team. Position Summary

As a Federal Client Leader at DLR Group you will be responsible for growing our federal practice nationally as a company expert in the assigned agency practices and procedures, with a primary focus on (but not limited to) Department of War/Department of Defense and the US Army Corps of Engineers.

Working collaboratively with other Federal Team Leadership you will develop and implement a federal market growth strategy on a national platform. Client Leaders direct opportunity positioning and win strategies, teaming and proposal phases, project contracting and execution of contracted work with the servicing DLR Group sectors. You'll be responsible for fostering relationships with the broad swath of federal owners & clients to grow DLR Group’s federal footprint throughout the United States.

This includes strategic Build Partner clients on Design-Build, A/E strategic partners, as well as federal agency owners. In addition, you'll partner with DLR Group project managers to ensure the financial health and successful execution of each project while ensuring positive relationships are sustained with each client during the execution of their project.

The successful candidate will

  • Establish annual business goals, strategies, and tactics in collaboration with DLR Group federal leaders in close collaboration with global sector leaders and region leaders.
  • Assist with developing and expanding the federal agency team structure including specific roles and responsibilities.
  • Work closely with Regional Sector Leaders (RSLs) and sector business developers to grow and nurture existing client relationships, develop new business, and secure new federal clients for our sectors.
  • Meet and collaborate with federal agency representatives to identify opportunities well in advance of their announcement.
  • Source, on-board, and lead new federal IDIQ and MATOC contract vehicles and as program manager, oversee “mining” them for federal revenue through our task order project managers and project teams.
  • Provide thought leadership within the firm as well as with clients and the federal marketplace, to include speaking and publishing through industry organizations such as SAME, DBIA, CMAA, ACEC, etc.
  • Attend industry events, business development events, interviews, and client meetings as required.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of the coordination aspects and related requirements of all design disciplines.
  • Possess solid written and verbal communication skills coupled with strong organizational skills.
  • Achieve annual profit and growth goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management.
  • 10-15 years minimum experience with Federal Government in A/E/C execution as a government professional (military ret irement preferred)
  • Strong federal client, project management, leadership, and time management skills
  • Keen understanding of Federal Government standards and practices.
  • Demonstrated prior experience working within a matrix organization; ability to work both independently and effectively in a cross-disciplinary team atmosphere and across multiple offices.
