The Bellflower at Whispering Ridge
Are you a compassionate, detail-driven leader who thrives on making a real difference in seniors' lives? We're looking for a Health & Wellness Director to lead our care team and ensure every resident receives safe, dignified, and high-quality care. If you love mentoring staff, solving problems, and creating a warm, well-run community, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
- Lead the delivery of resident care and wellness services in compliance with state regulations and company policy, partnering closely with the Executive Director.
- Evaluate residents prior to move-in and upon any change of condition, and develop, implement, and update individualized care plans.
- Oversee medication management — ordering, administration, storage, and documentation — including regular audits of medication carts and records.
- Monitor EHR/EMAR systems to ensure accurate charting, med pass, and up-to-date care plans.
- Observe resident health status, initiate appropriate interventions, and communicate promptly with medical professionals and families.
- Recruit, train, coach, and supervise care staff, ensuring completion of all state-mandated and company training.
- Build and manage staffing schedules, proactively covering call-outs and adjusting for resident care needs.
- Lead care conferences, family meetings, and staff huddles; coordinate with outside medical providers.
- Respond to resident emergencies, participate in the Manager-on-Duty rotation, and support after-hours needs.
- Champion a culture of hospitality, dignity, and excellence in senior care, and support wellness programming and lifestyle education.
What We're Looking For
- Nursing license REQUIRED for state of Nebraska.
- 3+ years of experience working with seniors preferred; 2+ years of supervisory experience required.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification.
- Strong working knowledge of medications, dosages, side effects, and senior health factors.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented, proficient with computers and EHR/EMAR systems, and comfortable managing documentation and compliance.
- A genuine passion for helping residents live safely, independently, and with dignity.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment, with the flexibility to work on-site the majority of the time.
What We Offer
- The opportunity to lead a mission-driven team and make a meaningful impact in residents' lives every day.
- A supportive leadership structure, including direct partnership with the Executive Director and Management Team.
- Ongoing training and professional development to support your growth as a care leader.
- A collaborative, values-driven community culture focused on hospitality and excellence.
- Competitive compensation and benefits package (details shared during the interview process).
- Bonus potential based on performance.
