MRO - Maintenance Parts Room 2nd Shift

Omaha, NE | Full Time | Maintenance-General

Hours:

3PM–11:30PM, Monday–Friday. Weekend and overtime work may be required based on production and operational need. Regular and prompt attendance during scheduled hours is required.

JOB PURPOSE (JOB SUMMARY)

The MRO/Parts Purchaser will support the maintenance department by ensuring accurate inventory management in SAP and performing regular cycle counts. Responsibilities include processing purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, tracking orders, maintaining inventory, and working closely with the goods receiver, vendors, and associates to secure and locate parts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
  • Perform inventory cycle counts.
  • Participate in inventory audits and reconciliations.
  • Place purchase orders and track their status.
  • Work closely with the goods receiver to ensure goods are received in SAP.
  • Manage inventory levels of MRO items to avoid stockouts or excess inventory.
  • Assist with the development of spare parts lists for new equipment.
  • Negotiate with suppliers for favorable prices, delivery terms, and quality standards.
  • Vendor management and maintain positive relationships.
  • Ensure timely delivery and proper documentation of shipments.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of parts.
  • Assist customers in locating parts.
  • Other duties as assigned.
WORK EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE
  • SAP experience preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience in maintenance manufacturing preferred.
SKILLS / OTHER PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED
  • Quality and safety minded.
  • Reliable and dependable.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, bend at the waist, twist, turn, kneel, squat, climb heights, move head/neck, reach outward, and reach above shoulders.
  • Ability to lift frequently up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to push/pull occasionally up to 70 pounds.
  • Ability to frequently type, use keyboard, and perform repetitive hand use.
