Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Weekend and overtime work may be required based on production and operational needs. Schedule is subject to change based on business necessity. This position requires regular and prompt attendance during scheduled work hours as assigned by the Department Supervisor.
The MRO/Parts Purchaser supports the Maintenance Department by ensuring accurate inventory management within SAP and performing regular cycle counts. Responsibilities include processing purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, tracking orders, and maintaining appropriate inventory levels. This role works closely with the goods receiver to ensure accurate system entries, coordinates with vendors and manufacturers to secure required parts, and assists team members in locating materials.
Additional responsibilities include labeling, organizing, and maintaining proper storage of inventory.
- Maintain parts inventory
- Perform inventory cycle counts
- Participate in inventory audits and reconciliations
- Place purchase orders and track order status
- Collaborate with the goods receiver to ensure materials are properly received in SAP
- Manage MRO inventory levels to prevent stockouts and excess inventory
- Assist in developing spare parts lists for new equipment
- Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and quality standards with suppliers
- Manage vendor relationships and maintain positive partnerships
- Ensure timely delivery and accurate documentation of shipments
- Ensure proper storage and handling of parts
- Assist internal customers in locating parts and materials
- Perform other duties as assigned
- SAP experience preferred but not required
- Previous maintenance or manufacturing experience preferred
- Quality- and safety-minded
- Reliable and dependable
- Regular and prompt attendance required
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and HR software
- Ability to perform additional duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, twisting, kneeling, squatting, climbing, reaching (outward and overhead), and head/neck movement
- Ability to frequently lift up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Ability to occasionally push/pull up to 70 pounds
- Frequent typing, keyboard use, and repetitive hand movements
