Job Purpose (job Summary)

Prepares employees to successfully accomplish job results by planning, conducting, and evaluating production line and equipment training, while maintaining a safe and healthy training environment by following organization standards and legal regulations. 60% of time will be on the production floor training new hires and current team members on all SOPs and new materials.

Key Responsibilities / Duties
  • Create and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all production job functions for all team members.
  • Create, develop and manage all SOPs for machine settings.
  • Train all production new hires in essential job functions for a Machine Operator and more.
  • Document, test and certify new hires on SOP’s following ten (10) business days of training.
  • Create one-point-lesson, update SOP training material, and train out all production employees as SOP changes dictate.
  • Create, implement and track Skill Metrics plant wide for all Team Members.
  • Create, implement, and oversee a new hire check list for all production employees on equipment knowledge to be conducted by Supervisor within 90‑day probationary period. (30/60/90‑day reviews)
  • Annual SOP reviews with processing and other production positions as needed.
  • Retrain SOPs with employees as needed by the request of the management team.
  • Assist in plant management with documentation of specific processes.
Work Experience / Knowledge
  • Previous work experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Must have a high level of knowledge and experience in operating production machinery.
  • Knowledge and experience of Word, Excel or spreadsheet software and email programs.
  • Basic office skills.
  • Must be able to work overtime and irregular hours, and/or rotating shifts scheduled by the Plant Manager.
  • This position requires walking, standing, twisting, reaching, bending, climbing, and lifting.
  • Ability to learn new/proprietary systems and to adapt to various system platforms.
Education
  • Minimum

    Education Required:

    High School Diploma or equivalent desired.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Frequently stand, walk and sit.
  • Occasionally bend at the waist, twist/turn, kneel, squat, climb/heights, crawl, reach outward and above shoulder.
  • Constantly have head/neck movements.
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Constantly type/keyboard and repetitive hand use.
  • Exposed to loud noise when on the production floor.
