Job SummaryOperator USW in Omaha, NE with responsibilities also in Irvington, NE.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, dayshift with some overtime and callout. This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement; union bidding process applies.
- Monitor all product movements into and out of the terminal and/or station via loading rack, unloading skid, or main line.
- Perform mainline operations, transfer product to storage vessels, operate refined product pumps, and run product samples for analysis on in‑house lab equipment.
- Measure physical stock, meters, and additive variances, input information into computer programs and perform daily facility inspections.
- Assist drivers and customers, perform truck rack operations duties.
- Assist technicians with maintenance duties and perform general maintenance duties as directed by the supervisor.
- Participate on the facility emergency response team.
- Comply with company policies and procedures, including System Integrity Plan (SIP) and OQ requirements, and attend safety training meetings.
- Perform any other tasks assigned.
- Execute Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). functions and maintain readiness to respond to dangerous or hazardous conditions.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's Degree in Petroleum Technology or related field preferred.
- Three years' experience in a related field preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Regular attendance.
- Effective oral and written communication in English.
- Ability to work in stressful conditions and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Proficiency with a personal computer running Windows operating system.
- Work on both a scheduled and call‑out basis as needed.
- Ability to work at the assigned job site.

- Heavy Work:
Exerting 50–100 pounds occasionally and/or 25–50 pounds frequently and/or 10–20 pounds constantly.
- Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, tasting/smelling, near vision, far vision, depth perception, color vision – frequently or constantly as specified.
- Indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, well‑lighted climate‑controlled areas, outdoor weather conditions, wet or humid conditions, extreme cold and heat, dust, fumes, gases, moving mechanical parts, potential electric shock, vibration, loud noise, unprotected heights, repetitive motion, computer monitors.
- Occasional travel to other locations may be required.
- May be assigned a company vehicle requiring an applicable driver's license.
