Position: Forklift Operator Full-Time

Forklift Operator Full-Time

Job Summary We are seeking a Forklift Operator to support daily recycling operations by safely transporting materials and finished bales from production lines to designated warehouse areas or loading docks. This role ensures materials are handled with care, bales meet quality standards, and the facility remains clean and organized. Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety are essential.

Shifts: 1st Shift (7am to 3pm), 2nd Shift (3pm to 11pm), and 3rd Shift (11pm to 7am)

Starting Wage: $17.00 an hour

Duties
  • Operate a forklift to move bales and materials from processing lines to warehouse storage locations.
  • Load and unload trucks efficiently while ensuring materials are placed securely and accurately.
  • Inspect bales for cleanliness, proper sorting, and compliance with facility specifications before moving or staging them.
  • Maintain accurate placement of materials to support inventory flow and prevent contamination or mix‑ups.
  • Work closely with line operators, baler operators, and supervisors to maintain smooth production and material flow.
  • Keep work areas clean by removing debris, sweeping, and organizing materials as needed.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including equipment inspections, PPE use, and safe driving practices.
  • Report equipment issues or unsafe conditions promptly.
  • Assist with general facility tasks as assigned to support team goals.
Experience
  • Proven experience in warehouse distribution or similar logistics environments involving heavy equipment operation.
  • Previous experience as an order picker or in shipping & receiving roles is highly desirable.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to forklift maintenance and repair is a plus.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards applicable to warehouse operations.
  • Experience with heavy lifting techniques using pallet jacks or other material handling equipment.
