Job Overview
Quality Assurance Associate role will ensure that the production operations at Omaha Manufacturing Facility meet the company quality and operations procedures. The major responsibilities of this role include receiving and releasing incoming materials and inspecting and releasing production lines. This role will oversee the day‑to‑day manufacturing operation and work in close collaboration with other departments such as Operations, Quality Control, and Supply Chain.
Roles & Responsibilities- Perform line clearances and line releases.
- Answer calls from Operations for any quality issue.
- Inspect, sample, and release incoming raw materials and components.
- Release in‑process materials to the manufacturing operation.
- Change status (hold, release, etc.) of materials, components, and products in the inventory management system.
- Verify in‑process and finished products to ensure specifications are met.
- Be willing and able to work the day or evening shift as backup.
- Perform daily weight calibration checks of production scales.
- Complete paperwork review and product release for production jobs completed at the Distribution Center.
- Perform other support functions as assigned.
- Work independently within established procedures associated with the job function.
Job Duties
- Oversee day‑to‑day manufacturing operation.
- Work with the Operations team to resolve issues (non‑conforming inventory, production issues, etc.), ensuring product disposition (hold, release, etc.) as necessary.
- Train new QA Associates.
- Perform job duties independently.
- Read and understand English‑written job instructions and safety requirements.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and comfortable working in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Detail oriented, self‑motivated, able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Computer skills and use of databases for specifications.
- Strong collaboration across departments.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Previous Quality Assurance experience in an EPA/FDA environment.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
