Build your career where ownership pride and performance come standard 3rd Shift WELDER FITTER 2000 HIRING BONUS 3rd Shift Hours Mon Thurs 800pm to 600am OT scheduled as needed Pay Range 22 28 based on experience and skills OVERALL SUMMARY Under direct supervision Responsible for various types of weld preparation welding and weld finishing operations to manufacture product to customer drawings specifications or other forms of instruction ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Proficient in assigned welding techniques such as MIG welding

Interpretation of mechanical drawings including weld requirement symbols

Knowledge of wire and filler materials applications for various steel alloys aluminum and some exotic materials

Working knowledge of fixturing and weld set up parameters amps volts etc Conventional and precision measuring instruments

Process inspection certification and documentation

Welding equipment maintenance

Finish grinding applications using manual and power tools

Regular Attendance and Punctuality Safety and Housekeeping Other duties as assigned by the area supervisor

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Individual must possess these knowledges skills and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation using some other combination of skills and abilities Successful completion of an internal welding test and the ability to achieve certification

Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing

Good math and measurement skills

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings

Ability to manage several projects simultaneously

Able to bend reach push pull and put parts into positions for welding

Able to lift 50 lbs from a floor or bench level to a welding table or fixture

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High School diploma or equivalent

One year experience in various forms of welding preferably in a job shop environment

Must be able to lift objects from floor to above shoulder level and be able to lift from lying position on back overhead Must be able to move objectspartstools and equipment from one area to another and one level to another

This position includes the following physical demands

Extending and pulling the hands and arms in any direction while working with various tools as mentioned before

Seizing holding rasping turning pulling or otherwise working with hands and arms Using arms in such a way as pulling of tools wrenches parts and equipment to complete the job Picking pinching or otherwise working with fingers primarily rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling
