This Supervisor leads, directs, and controls maintenance and Tool & Die technicians engaged in the safe and expedient installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and facilities to maintain and improve equipment reliability. The role also serves as a motivator, problem‑solver, facilitator, and project leader to staff and manufacturing supervisory peers.

- Lead the safety initiative in the department and constantly focus on safety, creating a safe work environment, weekly meetings, and communication. Strive for zero accidents.
- Supervise routine, preventive, and project maintenance and Tool & Die work assignments to optimize plant equipment reliability.
- Collaborate with production and engineering to plan, organize, and justify costs for project implementation and preventive maintenance, demonstrating problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Collaborate with production supervisors and managers to solve maintenance‑related problems, reduce costs, and improve operations.
- Develop, motivate, and direct technicians to improve skills and performance to meet maintenance and Tool & Die objectives.
- Ensure Lozier safety and environmental programs are followed.
- Coordinate work assignments to optimize utilization of people, machines, materials, and processes to meet requirements, compliance, and operating‑cost objectives.
- Complete Kronos reviews, respond to emails, and order supplies as needed.
- Effectively communicate at all levels within the company throughout projects or tasks.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and Lozier’s collective bargaining agreement (if applicable).
- Demonstrate regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings, and completing assignments.
- Work and interact well with others.
- Budgeting:
Work collaboratively with vendors to solve maintenance and Tool & Die related problems, reduce costs, and improve operations. - Ability to lift and carry product and materials occasionally.
- Education:
A college degree or equivalent training in a related area. - Experience:
Demonstrated success in leading/managing a technical area, such as manufacturing engineering, Tool & Die, or maintenance. Three years of manufacturing experience preferred. - Required Skills:
Working knowledge of industrial maintenance and Tool & Die in a manufacturing setting, including welders, brake presses, roll formers, punch presses, paint lines, lasers, CNC equipment, and dies; intermediate skill with Microsoft Office applications; general mechanical and electrical knowledge, including troubleshooting and programmable controller knowledge. - Preferred
Skills:
Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance systems and procedures; knowledge of project‑planning database programs; knowledge of standard budget processes; knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing practices; use of MP2 to track machine components and labor cost related to equipment; proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor.
- Must navigate the manufacturing facility or warehouse 75% of the day.
- Must be flexible to cover shifts other than the regularly assigned shift.
Successful completion of a pre‑hire drug screen and post‑offer background screen is required to obtain employment. Continued employment remains on an at‑will basis.
