Job Overview
Parts Handler. Responsible for day‑to‑day activities of the Production Yard or Warehouse in accordance with current federal, state/provincial, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing the facility. Must have own tools. Starting pay $20–22/hr working Mon‑Fri 7:00am – 5:00pm.
EssentialJob Duties
- Safely maneuver around the yard or warehouse.
- Find and retrieve parts.
- Package parts for delivery or pre‑prep.
- Process paperwork related to parts.
- Pull work orders.
- Use hand tools and power tools to remove parts from cars.
- Operate a powered industrial truck (forklift) or order picker.
- Pull and prep sheet metal and other orders.
- Tag parts properly for destination.
- Communicate with Sales and Dispatch.
- Maintain a positive and friendly attitude during work hours.
- Maintain cleanliness in the work area.
- Assume other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Working knowledge of automotive parts.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) across all units of measure.
- Ability to calculate rates, ratios, percentages and interpret graphs.
- Frequent use of Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Basic oral communication and simple record keeping.
- Ability to explain and offer guidance on routine procedures.
- Proficiency in prioritizing routine tasks and working under supervisor guidance.
- Occasionally stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75pounds; on some occasions up to 100pounds.
- Exposure to hazardous situations, conditions, equipment, extreme temperatures, and high noise levels.
- Work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles, requiring awkward positions.
- Regular use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Periodic travel, including overnight stays, may be required.
