Key Responsibilities
Including but not limited to:
- Promote and follow all safety procedures and practices in daily work activities.
- Set up, adjust, and operate fabrication equipment including CNC lasers, CNC waterjets, CNC press brakes, metal rollers, rotary punch presses, coil straighteners and feeders, sanders, drills, milling machines, grinders, metal shears, ironworkers, and saws.
- Maintain accurate inventory transactions and labor reporting.
- Utilize ERP systems to access and manage inventory information, material locations, production orders, and delivery schedules.
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, and work orders to ensure quality production standards are met.
- Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and quality requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve fabrication processes, efficiency, and productivity.
- Support the long-term growth and development of fabrication operations.
- Manage workload effectively and maintain productivity with minimal supervision.
- Support and sustain 5S workplace organization initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
- Adhere to quality, environmental, and safety management system requirements.
- Demonstrate company core values in daily activities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a fabrication and job shop environment required.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical documentation.
- Experience operating fabrication equipment including CNC lasers, CNC waterjets, CNC press brakes, metal rollers, rotary punch presses, coil straighteners and feeders, sanders, drills, milling machines, grinders, metal shears, ironworkers, and saws.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, rules, squares, angle gauges, and height gauges.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory transactions preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and maintenance procedures.
- Working knowledge of basic mathematics including dimensions, quantities, metric conversions, algebra, and geometry.
- Ability to apply logical reasoning and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- High attention to detail with a commitment to quality and accurate documentation.
- Ability to work efficiently under deadlines while managing interruptions and changing priorities.
- Ability to maintain a consistent work pace with minimal supervision.
