Technical Services Representative

Join Amcor’s technical support team as a Level

II packaging equipment specialist. The role provides efficient and timely technical assistance to assigned customers in matters relating to their packaging equipment operations and helps improve customer quality and packaging performance.

• Act as a safety leader and put safety first in all responsibilities.
• Understand customer requirements relating to problems, products, and equipment.
• Service customer equipment where applicable, maintaining optimum performance of equipment, packaging films, and shrink‑bag materials.
• Identify machinery and packaging film/shrink‑bag problems and ensure proper communication to appropriate staff representatives.
• Maintain accurate and timely reports on work activities and time utilization.
• Perform and complete package/shrink‑bag and machine audits on packaging machines.
• Participate in field trials of new packaging materials.
• Assist in the installation and start‑up of all packaging equipment manufactured and sold by Amcor.
• Provide input into the design, installation, and start‑up of packaging equipment manufactured by outside suppliers or R&D.
• Schedule own time and travel and determine priority of customer calls.
• Conduct training for customers on proper operation and maintenance of equipment and Amcor film.
• Assist on projects and may take the lead on smaller tasks within an overall project.
• Work on special projects as assigned.
• Establish and maintain effective relations with customers, sales personnel, and internal Amcor staff.
• Complete KMS reporting within 5 days, expense reports within a month of business trip, and weekly schedules within designated time frame.

• Technical degree.
• 3‑5 years of experience in the food packaging industry (materials & machinery).
• Willingness to travel 60% or more.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
