We're partnering with a global food infrastructure company to hire a Manufacturing Engineer. This role leads manufacturing processes and quality management, optimizes production workflows, drives continuous improvement, and ensures compliance with quality standards like IAS AC-472. The Manufacturing Engineer coordinates between Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to maintain product integrity, efficiency, safety, cost control, and customer satisfaction, blending technical expertise with leadership and collaboration.
Responsibilities- Manufacturing Engineering & Process Improvement
- Review upcoming production plans and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and reports.
- Examine manufacturing methods and make workflow improvements to boost efficiency, safety, and cost savings.
- Lead initiatives for continuous improvement, preferably using LEAN principles.
- Design and create tools, jigs, fixtures, and process enhancements for manufacturing.
- Coordinate engineering updates and clearly communicate changes to production teams.
- Analyze production performance, including routings, bottlenecks, and overall efficiency.
- Address production issues, complaints, and process shortcomings by identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
- Take part in design reviews and suggest changes to make products easier to manufacture.
- Work with Engineering and Production teams to develop standardized assembly instructions and procedures.
- Oversee projects focused on improving processes and handling engineering changes.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in manufacturing engineering is preferred.
- At least two years of quality assurance or quality systems experience within a manufacturing setting is required.
- An Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality, Welding, or a closely related discipline is desirable.
- LEAN Green Belt or Black Belt certification is advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience in metal fabrication and mechanical equipment manufacturing is preferred.
- Familiarity with accreditation systems such as ISO or IAS is preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of production processes, blueprints, welding standards (AWS/CWB), and quality control systems is essential.
- Experience working with BOMs, routings, and standard cost environments.
- Proficiency with 2D/3D design software, particularly Inventor, is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD software.
