Main Panel Welding Technician

Wire welding on a variety of metals and alloys for assemblies to meet strength and pressure requirements using aluminum, stainless steel, and other alloys
. Spot welding operations on a variety of parts of products. Positions, aligns, and fits together fabricated plates, structural shapes, and weldments preparatory to assembly into structural fabricated products.

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures
• Must be able to pass a weld test
• Ability to add and subtract using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Deftness and attention to detail
• Professional Certification (e.g. an AWS welding certificate) will be a plus
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form.
• Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (metguard boots, protective eyewear, hard hats, gloves, ear plugs, etc)
