Overview
Eaton’s Power Distribution and Control Assemblies (PDCA) Division is seeking a Production Manager to join the site leadership team at our Omaha, NE manufacturing facility. Relocation assistance is available. Our Omaha Power Center is expanding with a new 370,000-square-foot facility planned to be online in the first half of 2027 to support high volume of switch gear structures for AI data centers customers.
The engineered-to-order switch gear can be integrated into Eaton’s prefabricated power systems to offer customers flexibility.
- Build and maintain current state and future state value stream maps for fabrication, kitting, assembly, inspection, and material handling.
- Establish the management system (tier meetings, visual KPIs, daily accountability) to drive performance and problem solving.
- Assess performance indicators and take actions to meet schedule, cost, and quality goals.
- Own short-term and long-term scheduling and planning in accordance with SIOP processes to align functional partners, resources, and material needs.
- Own short- and long-term capital planning with emphasis on machinery and productivity aligned with operation needs, strategies, and objectives.
- Ensure required documentation and/or system transactions are executed to meet customer, manufacturing system, and financial reporting requirements.
- Assure policies, procedures, and other documentation are followed to ensure consistent and compliant manufactured products.
- Provide leadership and commitment to continuous improvements in quality, productivity, and delivery through the deployment of the continuous improvement framework (CIF).
- Evaluate operational performance to facilitate merit promotions, job transfers, and other personnel decisions.
- Manage budgets and resource plans, and monitor performance to achieve product delivery and cost requirements.
- Collaborate with HR on employee relations issues as they arise within production.
- Achieve labor productivity improvements, reduce overtime, and lead cost reduction efforts to lower factory cost.
- Ensure Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance in consideration of local regulations and Eaton policy.
- Champion the implementation of MESH to improve year-over-year safety performance.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in manufacturing operations, production control, and/or manufacturing supervision.
- Eaton will not sponsor immigration or provide CPT/OPT/STEM OPT, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or supply chain from an accredited institution.
- SAP business system experience.
- Supply chain, engineering, or operations experience in engineered-to-order or custom manufacturing.
- Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma/CI tools.
- Change management experience.
- Process management experience.
- Ability to interpret and collect data to drive decisions and identify improvements.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office products.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and ability to interpret highly technical product designs to address production opportunities.
- Strong leadership and coaching capabilities to influence others toward results and accountability.
- Working knowledge of business systems, accounting systems, industrial engineering, and manufacturing operations and processes.

Compensation and BenefitsThe expected annual salary range is $97,000 – $143,000. Salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Eaton provides competitive pay and a variety of benefit programs for eligible employees.
