Responsibilities- Place cartons into the machine feed (Feeder) or collect carts at the end of the process, perform spot quality checks, and pack completed cartons.
- Feed, palletize and operate the banding equipment.
- Stack pallets according to work instructions and pallet diagrams.
- Review and confirm that Pallet “S” Tags, Pallet logs, and Work Instructions all agree.
- Ensure labels are correct and facing out on finishing pallets; verify corrugated is lined up and matches in appearance.
- Operate electric Pallet Jacks safely to move WIP or finished pallets.
- Lift and place cases on pallets and keep the palletizing loop clear.
- Inspect and pack cartons when needed; assemble corrugated according to customer specifications.
- Restock materials for following crews, including making lids, stocking corrugated, and keeping tables stocked with tape.
- Standing for the duration of the shift (except breaks and lunch) with limited lower body movement for 12 hours.
- Visual acuity at short distances; ability to detect variances in job numbers, registers, and collation marks.
- Color vision to detect inappropriate color of product.
- Lifting and loading up to 20 lb. bundles of corrugate into a case erector.
- Able to lift 25–35 lb. boxes continuously and 50 lb. occasionally to cover the Palletizer position.
- Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures related to production of Safe Quality Foods.
- Report any potentially unsafe conditions to the appropriate authority to record or correct unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF procedures.
- Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.
- Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
- Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation.
