How would you contribute?

This role is a contributing member of our Airlite - Omaha team, located in Omaha, NE. As a Material Handler Lead you are a key to continued growth and success of Airlite.

  • Support departmental safety requirements, to include coordination of audits and safety inspections.
  • Coordinate movement of labor resources according to production and warehouse plans and goals.
  • Ensure labor needs are met for current business demands.
  • Provide warehouse training for new hires and current team members.
  • Escalate safety, operational, and labor issues to the appropriate leadership team member.
  • Oversee, train and participate in the training and development of the material handlers.
  • Make sure autonomous robots are running continuously and are utilized on shift properly. Continuously train employees on updated processes and procedures with autonomous robots.
  • Ensure team members are completing daily tasks and that they are working as a team
  • Support the production floor to make sure pallets are picked up in a timely manner to avoid excessive pallet build up at the station creating a safe work environment.
  • Work closely with production to make sure they have all the WIP, corrugate, chip boards or anything else needed in a timely manner.
  • As needed, conduct motorized rolling stock (MRS) audits and inspections. Ensure all MRS is inspected by operators.
  • Provide guidance and support to assigned team members, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Maintain safety and housekeeping standards; conduct regular inspections and report any concerns to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Report forklift performance/maintenance issues to supervision in a timely manner.
  • As assigned, Lead warehouse projects including collaboration with leadership team as required.
  • Maintain company attendance standards, including weekend work as assigned. Adhere to daily work schedules.
  • Report food safety concerns to management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
