Wastewater DAF and Centrifuge Operator

Location:

Reporting To:
Rendering Superintendent

• Operate the wastewater Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) system and skimmers
• Perform equipment shutdowns and clean‑in‑place (CIP) procedures for Centrisys, melt tank, and other related equipment
• Grease Centrisys, paunch press, and bearings according to the established schedule
• Clean DAF areas, including dry pickup, foam removal, and rinsing
• Restart the system and operate until first shift arrives
• Coordinate with first shift, complete required paperwork, and submit documentation
• Operate powered industrial trucks, including forklifts and skid loaders
• Perform lockout/tagout procedures on equipment as required
• Perform other duties as assigned by upper management

• Prior wastewater experience preferred, but not required
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred, but not required

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships and work collaboratively
• Ability to work in conditions of extreme heat and in wet, steamy environments
• Understand and operate touchscreen-controlled equipment
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Ability to work flexible hours, including some Saturdays
• Good verbal and written communication skills
  
  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work with chemicals safely
• Ability to multitask
• Strong attention to detail
