Machine Operator - 2nd shift

The Rough-Cut Machine Operator position is responsible for efficiently operating the CNC machine in order to attain the required precision cuts for each fabrication job.

Set up and monitor CNC Machines Ensure the correct material is loaded and programmed

Ensure full slab is aligned with blades and waterjets and verifying correct slab, orientation, etc.

Observe operation of equipment assigned to ensure proper maintenance and safe operation

Clean assigned work areas and equipment at the end of each day Coordinate repairs of equipment as needed. Maintain and operate equipment in accordance with operating manuals and procedures, and maintain your assigned work area in a high state of cleanliness/readiness

Track and update job status in the Internal Tracking System Assist with daily operations and maintenance of all areas of production

Safe operations of material movement including cranes w/suctions and clamp attachments

Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality

Scan barcodes before starting and after completing of processes

Pre-inspect materials before processing and double check material

Pull measurements for accuracy

Perform other duties as assigned by management

Work Environment This position will work in an indoor production environment around large machinery, overhead cranes, and power tools. There may be areas with wet floors. The production environment involves a consistently high level of noise.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee continuously is required to stand, use hands for fine manipulation such as writing and typing; and visual acuity for reading or watching computer screens, documents, tablets, etc., walk; push; pull; bend; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Individuals must have the ability to lift a minimum of 100lbs on a regular basis.

The employee is frequently required to talk and hear via in person/or by phone and lifting from waist-level to overhead. The employee is occasionally required to operate a forklift/stationary heavy machinery and lift from floor to waist-level.

Education and Experience Experience working with a CNC machine or similar large machinery

Working knowledge of stone polishing and order of operations

Experience working with stone products or in the stone industry

Proficient computer skills
