3rd Shift Material Handler

3rd Shift Material Handler/Rover

3rd Shift Hours are Monday - Thursday 8:00pm to 6:00am. Shift differential $2/hour.

Performs a variety of duties that include receiving parts, checking parts, pulling/delivering parts to internal customers, data entry, and operating hand and power equipment for material handling to accommodate storage and flow of products throughout the production facility. Direction is given daily by Production Supervisor.

• Pulling and delivering parts to necessary work centers
• Assign primary stock IDs
• Stock components in primary location
• Cycle count all stocking locations
• Organize parts in proper locations
• Maintain safety and housekeeping
• Other duties as assigned by the area supervisor

• Ability to handle material safely
• Basic computer skills and typing
• Ability to use overhead cranes (preferred)
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Good math and measurement skills
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Former inventory control experience is a plus
• Previous forklift/warehouse experience preferred

• Stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
• Frequent talking and hearing required
• Reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch frequently
• Can bend, reach, push, pull, and store parts
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Specific vision abilities: close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

• Work occurs both inside and outside, with or without protection from weather conditions and temperature changes
• Periodic high noise levels and vibration (engine noise, air compressors, air powered equipment, shop noises)
• Variety of physical hazards including moving mechanical parts, heavy parts, electrical shock, engine exhaust, elevated work, exposure to burns, explosives
• Use of tools such as air power tools, electric drill, drill press, grinders, wrenches, torches, welders, hand tools, air chipping hammers, electric cords
