Motor Driven Reels- Assembly Technician

We are looking for a Motor Driven Reels Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will assemble mechanical and electrical components, install wiring per specifications, test and troubleshoot assemblies, and help ensure our products meet quality and customer requirements.

• Assemble mechanical and electrical components for motor-driven cable reels
• Perform wiring installations and connect color-coded wires according to schematics
• Test, adjust, and troubleshoot assemblies as needed
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Identify and communicate quality, design, or production concerns
• Support safety, quality, and 5S initiatives

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous mechanical or electrical assembly experience is a plus
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and work instructions
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift heavy items and work in a manufacturing environment
• Willingness to complete forklift and overhead crane certification training

• Mechanical assembly of various size structural and electrical components.
• Electrical installations according to wiring specifications.
• Operate necessary tools, as listed on the job description, to aid in the assembly of cable reels.
• Connect color-coded wires.
• Tests and adjusts electrical assemblies.
• Discusses errors in diagrams or production orders with the supervisor or engineer to clarify assembly problems.
• Manufacturing consultant to engineering and sales department concerning design problems.
• Responsible for checking the accuracy of engineering, sales, and manufacturing offices’ input to ensure customer final product is correct and within quality acceptance guidelines.
• Any changes or corrections must be communicated to appropriate departments so future product output is consistent with customer expectations.
• Understands, supports, implements, and sustains 5S initiatives and goals.
• Supports and upholds the Quality and EHS policy.
• Upholds the Core Values.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write and/or verbally communicate correspondence.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Employee must be willing and able to successfully pass our in-house forklift & overhead crane certification program prior to operating these machines within our facility. Operating these machines is an essential function of this role. This certification program will assess proficiency in safe operation according to our company’s standards and protocols. Training will be provided.
