Hourly Rate: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour

• Maintain complete and accurate records.
• Operate colloid mill and other laboratory equipment.
• Disassemble, clean, and sanitize equipment.
• Perform measurements with scales, glassware, etc.
• Monitor temperatures with various devices.
• Operate autoclave to sterilize equipment, product, and ingredients.
• Understand and follow all SOPs associated with the department.
• Apply proper housekeeping techniques.
• Follow proper dress, secondary gowning, and personal protective equipment policies.
• Familiarity with production and process flow.
• Know proper staging and storage of supplies and equipment.
• Learn key terminology associated with Adjuvant Manufacturing.
• Know/develop understanding of emulsion chemistry/technology.
• Practice proper aseptic technique.

• Ability to complete all safety‑related training required to execute job functions.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Education and/or
  
  Experience:
  
  Associate’s Degree in a scientific discipline and/or five years in a relevant production setting. Minimum of one year experience in a laboratory/production environment. Experience with colloid milling and emulsions.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to troubleshoot problems.
• Decision Making Responsibilities: Communicate questionable issues to supervisor, follow written or oral directions, and identify process anomalies/errors.
• Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the English language; basic math skills and ability to use the metric system; basic mechanical skills; working knowledge of Windows‑based applications.
• Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs to shoulder height.
• Work Environment: Basic laboratory environment that requires the wearing of personal protective equipment; use of large equipment, sterilizers, and exposure to loud noises.
