Overview

Spring Reel Technician / Electrical-Mechanical Assembler

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 1st Shift

Pay: $19–$20/hour

A growing industrial manufacturing company in Omaha, NE is seeking a Spring Reel Technician / Electrical-Mechanical Assembler to join its production team. This is a great opportunity for someone who has hands-on assembly experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and takes pride in building high-quality industrial products.

This role is best suited for a dependable, detail-oriented individual who enjoys working with tools, reading work instructions, and contributing to a team-focused manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Assemble electrical and mechanical components according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and production specifications
  • Perform electrical wiring and installations using wiring diagrams and schematics
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, drill presses, cut-off saws, and other assembly equipment
  • Connect and route color-coded wiring accurately
  • Test, troubleshoot, and adjust assemblies to ensure quality and functionality
  • Identify and communicate discrepancies in drawings, specifications, or production documentation
  • Support continuous improvement, workplace organization, and safe manufacturing practices
  • Verify product configurations and documentation to ensure customer requirements are met
What We’re Looking For
  • 2–5 years of electrical and/or mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience using cut-off saws, drill presses, hand tools, and power tools
  • Ability to use measuring devices and perform basic dimensional inspections
  • Ability to read and follow written work instructions and safety procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • High school diploma or GED required
Preferred Experience
  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings
  • Electrical troubleshooting or testing experience
  • Forklift or overhead crane exposure is a plus; training/certification may be provided
