Position: 2nd Shift CNC Machinist (Omaha)

CNC Machinist

$24–$30/hour | Monday–Friday | 1:00 PM–11:30 PM | Omaha, NE

We’re hiring an experienced CNC Machinist for a long-term opportunity with a growing industrial manufacturer in Omaha. This role is ideal for a machinist who is comfortable setting up and operating both CNC and conventional/manual equipment and enjoys working on a variety of materials, components, and custom customer projects.

What You’ll Do:
  • Set up and operate CNC and conventional/manual mills, lathes, drill presses, and other machining equipment
  • Read blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work instructions to determine machining sequence, dimensions, tolerances, and setup requirements
  • Select and install tooling, fixtures, and work holding
  • Set speeds, feeds, depths, coolant, and other machining parameters
  • Enter, edit, and adjust CNC machine controls as needed
  • Perform trial runs and make adjustments to ensure accurate machining
  • Measure and inspect finished parts to verify dimensions and tolerances
  • Build or assist with fixtures for drilling, milling, and turning
  • Troubleshoot machining and assembly issues with engineering and production teams
  • Maintain a quality-focused and organized work area
What We’re Looking For:
  • 3–5 years of machining/manufacturing experience
  • Experience setting up and operating both CNC and conventional/manual equipment
  • Strong blueprint reading and measurement skills
  • Understanding of machining tolerances and quality requirements
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively with engineering and production teams
  • Associate degree, machining/tool & die apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on experience
