Position: Day Family Support Worker

About This Position

A Family Support Worker at Open Door Mission s Lydia House provides direct guest services and supervision, including support of case managers and other staff. Accomplishes and oversees Lydia House s daily routine.

Responsibilities
  • Overseeing the House - answer questions and needs of guests, resolve issues as they arise.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation on guests.
  • Performing intakes for new guests accurately and thoroughly.
  • Performing daily routine tasks including providing regular medication access to guests, supervise mealtimes, check closets and storage supplies and report what items are needed.
  • Enter all maintenance requests into the work order system.
  • Bring in all supplies needed for the guests at the Lydia House.
  • Sharing the Gospel as opportunities arise.
Minimum Requirements
  • You have a visible relationship with Christ and regularly attend a Bible-believing church.
  • You have the ability to share the Gospel as opportunities arise.
  • Acceptable driving record and valid driver s license.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience in the human services field or a related area.
  • Great communication skills with guests as well as fellow staff members.
Ideal Candidate Would Have

Two years of Experience in human services or related field.

Note: High School Diploma or GED is preferred. Compassion to help those in need, as well as firmness in upholding important policies and standards. A self-motivated and hard-working attitude.

Pay Range: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

7am-3:30pm
