Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Program Manager for the IVC Virtual Program plays a key role in advancing IVC's mission and expanding the Virtual Program's reach nationwide. This position combines recruitment, communications, relationship‑building, and program administration.
Primary Responsibilities- Recruitment of Service Corps Members
- Conduct recruitment efforts in targeted regions across the United States, including outreach to parishes, senior organizations, and community groups.
- Develop and distribute recruitment materials.
- Represent IVC through webinars, virtual information sessions, and networking opportunities.
- Research and implement innovative online recruitment strategies.
- Guide prospective members through the application and discernment process, including interviews, reference checks, and placement discussions.
- Promotion of the IVC Virtual Program
- Maintain and update program databases and contact records.
- Collaborate with Jesuit university partners and nonprofit organizations to gather and share volunteer stories.
- Coordinate placement of articles, announcements, advertisements, and promotional materials in Catholic and community publications.
- Maintain Virtual Program social media and website content.
- Assist with promotion of events and special initiatives.
- Support the development and distribution of the quarterly newsletter.
- Create promotional and marketing materials as needed.
- Program Administration and Member Engagement
- Research and cultivate relationships with nonprofit partner organizations.
- Support spiritual reflectors by ensuring they have the resources they need.
- Coordinate monthly spiritual gatherings and virtual programming.
- Onboard new members and provide ongoing support throughout the year.
- Invite and coordinate guest speakers.
- Maintain online database.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently.
- Familiarity with the Catholic faith, Catholic social teaching, and ministry within Catholic communities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in communications, marketing, public relations, volunteer management, or nonprofit programs is preferred.
- Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred and professional work experience.
