Front Porch Investments was formed in 2021 to address the gap in affordable housing in the region. Front Porch Investments serves as a catalyst for innovative and community-centered affordable housing solutions, with a focus on investment, advocacy, and engagement. We prioritize production and preservation of affordable housing, housing justice, and innovative housing models, working across public‑private partners to strengthen the regional housing ecosystem.

The Community Initiatives Manager leads efforts grounded in Front Porch’s commitment to housing justice, community‑informed development, and systems‑level solutions that expand housing opportunity and address barriers facing underserved communities.
The person in this role will lead our Greenlining Fund, Innovation Fund, Community Advisory Committee, and other projects and convenings aimed at addressing the needs of the community. This leader will serve as a bridge between community stakeholders, housing practitioners, public agencies, and organizational leadership to ensure Front Porch’s investments, initiatives, and strategies remain responsive to evolving community needs.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Urban Planning, Community Development, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- 5‑7 years of experience in community development, affordable housing, public policy, philanthropy, stakeholder engagement, program management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience leading collaborative initiatives and building strategic partnerships across sectors.
- Strong understanding of affordable housing systems, community development, and systems‑change approaches.
- Experience facilitating meetings, convenings, advisory groups, or multi‑stakeholder initiatives.
- Excellent relationship‑building, communication, and facilitation skills.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strategic thinker capable of moving between high‑level organizational goals and detailed implementation.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including residents, community leaders, developers, elected officials, funders, and institutional partners.
- Experience translating community perspectives and stakeholder insights into systems‑level strategies, initiatives, or policy recommendations
