Job Title: Programs Intern (Part-Time, Non-exempt, Paid)

This internship is an exciting opportunity for students looking to gain real-world experience in nonprofit program management, event planning, and community engagement. As a Programs Intern, you will work directly with MAC Chamber’s leadership team to execute events and initiatives that educate, connect, and uplift our members and partners.

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic programs Intern to assist with the planning, promotion, and execution of MAC’s signature programs and events, including Pitch Black, MAC University, and various workshops and networking events. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates interested in program management, nonprofit leadership, or event planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Coordination: Assist in the preparation, logistics, and implementation of MAC’s core programs, including scheduling, outreach, and tracking participant engagement.
- Event Planning: Support the coordination of in-person and virtual events including workshops, seminars, and conferences. Help with event setup, registration, and post-event follow-ups.
- Communication & Outreach: Help develop and distribute promotional marketing materials, email updates, and social media content to raise awareness about upcoming programs and events.
- Data Collection & Reporting: Track attendance, gather feedback, and assist in preparing reports on program impact and outcomes.
- Volunteer & Partner Support: Coordinate communication with program volunteers, guest speakers, panelists, and community partners.
- Administrative Support: Assist with general administrative tasks related to program management, such as managing contact lists and organizing program materials.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college program in Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, Education, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in event planning, community engagement, or program coordination is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Canva, and social media platforms (Linked In, Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, X).
- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks effectively.
