Release isseekinga relational, organized, and mission-minded Part-Time Youth Mentoring Coordinator to support our mentoring program and provide youth life coaching in the community. This role supports female mentor matches, interviews referred youth,recruits mentors, helps create healthy mentor-mentee matches, and builds strong partnerships with churches, schools, and community organizations.

This is a hybrid role based in Omaha. While some administrative work can be done remotely, the position includes regular onsite engagement at partner locations including Holy Name School and Uta Halee Academy, as well as community outreach, interviews, and occasional events. The person in this role will have meaningful opportunities to provide Gospel-centered encouragement, spiritual care, and practical support to youth navigating crisis, trauma, and other serious life challenges.

In this role, you will support, equip, and regularly communicate with female mentor matches, helping each relationship grow in a healthy and consistent way based on the needs of the individual match. You will helpidentifyactivities, fellowship opportunities, and community resources that strengthen mentor-mentee relationships and support the broader mentoring program.

You will also interview youth referred by community partners and other referral sources, recruit volunteer mentors, and help create new matches. The role includes conflict resolution within matches, frequent communication with the Director of Mentoring, and collaboration around program evaluation, annual goals, and continuous improvement.

Release in the community through relationship-building, public speaking, and connection with local churches and partner organizations. You will help build rapport across the Omaha metro so that more youth and mentors can access Release services.

Co redocumentation each month,maintaintimelyrecords after mentor communication, and respond quickly to match needs in coordination with the mentoring team. You will alsoparticipatein quarterly Saturday events that support program engagement and mentor recruitment.

Strong candidates will have experience working with youth and families affected by crisis, trauma, behavioral challenges, or legal-system involvement, and will bring warmth, discernment, and emotional steadiness to difficult situations. Release’s public mission and ministry model make this faith alignment central to the role.

The role also requires strong interpersonal communication, conflict mediation, public speaking confidence, and the ability to build trust with youth, volunteers, families, staff, churches, and community partners. Candidates should be organized, responsive, and comfortable with routine documentation and database management.

Applicants must be able to travel regularly within the Omaha metro for partner-site work, community meetings, interviews, and events, and should hold a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Employment will be contingent on successful completion of required background checks, motor vehicle review, and any job‑related pre‑employment screenings. This part‑time role also requires flexibility for occasional evening work, quarterly Saturday events, and shared, as‑needed phone response to urgent mentoring situations outside regular business hours.
