The MAC Chamber is a membership-based chamber of commerce that exists to enhance the robust business climate for Black, underserved, and immigrant-owned businesses in Nebraska and across the Midwest. The Community Engagement & Development Associate will design and implement community engagement initiatives, support resource development and fundraising efforts, and coordinate programs and events that promote economic empowerment, entrepreneurship and workforce development within the underserved and small business communities across the region.

Community Advocacy & Strategic Partnerships

• Champion advocacy initiatives connecting business owners, policymakers, and civic
• Act as key liaison between local community members and regional decision-
• Organize high-impact forums, listening sessions, and campaigns to elevate community
• Build and maintain strategic alliances with non-profits, corporate sponsors, and civic
• Represent MAC at public convenings, coalition meetings, and regional
• Drive outreach strategies that increase civic participation and chamber

• Drive member retention and recruitment initiatives across the
• Serve as primary point of contact for prospective members and visitor
• Manage and optimize member databases and outreach CRM
• Negotiate vendor contracts, event spaces, and logistics for Chamber
• Coordinate featured speakers, agendas, and topics for networking
• Oversee participant registration and ensure compliance with event safety
• Handle event financial tracking, promo materials, and post-event follow-

• Support sponsorship campaigns, donor engagement, and fundraising
• Craft compelling sponsorship proposals, donor letters, and annual impact
