Staff Nurse - Bellevue Medical Center - Cardiac & Stroke (Nights) - Care Pair Model
Third Shift (United States of America)
Shift Details- Position:
Registered Nurse (RN) assigned to Care Pair Model - Shift: Nights, full time
- Schedule:
7:00 pm – 7:30 am, self‑scheduling
This 36‑bed unit provides specialty care for cardiac and stroke patients. Staff at this certified chest pain and stroke center care for patients on cardiac drips and heart failure patients and provide post‑stroke care and telemetry.
Position Highlights- Care Pair Model pairs an RN with a CNA to provide better care for patients and greater job satisfaction for colleagues.
- RN and CNA collaborate to care for 5‑6 patients as a team, resulting in increased staff and patient satisfaction.
- Lower patient ratios for CNAs allow more time for activities of daily living.
- Model improves quality data (e.g., CHG bathing, call lights).

- Perform duties in an environment of care for short‑term, non‑acute, non‑life‑threatening needs.
- Associate’s degree in nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma required.
- Effective communication skills.
- Initiative, teamwork, flexibility.
- Licensed RN in Nebraska or current compact state license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – required for department dependent.
- Experience in patient nursing, specialty/primary care clinic, or telephonics.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in nursing.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Proficient with email applications.
- Experience with EPIC or other electronic medical records.
- Multi‑state license preferred for Medical Call Center members.
