Job DescriptionFusion Medical Staffing seeks a skilled RN for a 9‑week travel assignment in Omaha, Nebraska. The role offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and the support of a dedicated clinical team.
Required Qualifications- One year recent experience as an RN in a long‑term care setting
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) or CPR certification
- ACLS Certification
- Additional certifications as may be required by the facility
- Assess patient or resident health, monitor for changes, and take appropriate action to ensure well‑being
- Develop, update, and implement personalized care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and the care team
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Observe residents for medication reactions or condition changes and report concerns to the provider
- Provide wound care, IV therapy, catheter management, and other skilled procedures within scope of practice
- Supervise and support LPNs and CNAs, delegating appropriately to ensure quality care
- Educate residents and families on medications, treatments, and chronic condition management
- Document care provided, resident progress, and health changes in a timely manner
- Respond quickly to emergencies, delivering critical care and coordinating with medical teams
- Work closely with physicians, therapists, and other professionals for coordinated, comprehensive care
- Perform additional duties as assigned within scope of practice
- Adhere to facility safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Ability to comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency with PC skills
- Physical abilities – remain stationary, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Interpersonal skills – work effectively with diverse personnel, maintaining a positive attitude and professionalism
- Technical/motor skills – perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and assist with procedures using equipment
- Mental requirements – cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work with minimal supervision, manage irregular activity schedules, maintain concentration
- Sensory – possess visual acuity and effective communication ability
