Key Responsibilities- Follow the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate.
- Assessment: systematically collect and analyze data including psychological, physiological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors.
- Plan: set measurable and achievable short‑ and long‑term goals based on standards of care, in collaboration with the patient and multidisciplinary team.
- Implement: execute or modify the plan using assessment data, clinical reasoning, evidence‑based practice; coordinate care, educate, plan discharge; responsible for direct, indirect, or delegated care.
- Evaluate: use a systematic ongoing process to assess progress towards goals and revise plan as needed with the patient and team.
- Document all phases in the patient record.
- Graduate of an RN nursing program, upon hire.
- Registered Nurse licensure in Nebraska, upon hire.
- Basic Life Support – CPR, upon hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 5 months.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 5 months.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program, within 6 months.
Eligible candidates will receive a $10,000 sign‑on bonus and up to $10,000 in educational assistance.
Where You'll WorkCHI Health Creighton University Medical Center – Bergan Mercy provides patient‑centered care in a level I trauma and academic medical center campus. Services include trauma, heart and vascular care, emergency, surgery, maternity, cancer, and diagnostic imaging.
Pay Range$36.00 – $52.20 per hour.
