Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit – CVICU RN – Travel Nurse

Omaha, Nebraska

TNAA Total Med RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for a 13‑week assignment in the CVICU. The assignment requires 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts beginning ASAP.

• Provide critical care to patients with potentially life‑threatening heart conditions.
• Prepare and administer prescribed medications.
• Take samples for diagnostic tests.
• Order, interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Apply hemodynamic, phlebotomy and IV protocols.
• Respond to emergencies by providing CPR and operating defibrillators hospital‑wide.
• Educate patients and family members on managing recovery at home.

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN).
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience, preferably in a CVICU setting.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean and stoop for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong coping skills for a fast‑paced, urgent and critical care environment.

• ACLS certification.
• BLS certification.
• NIH certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience (additional certifications may be required).
