Shift: Third Shift (United States of America) – LPN – Med Surg – 4/5 Lied Position.
This 40‑bed med‑surg and telemetry unit specializes in post‑operative, complex orthopedics. Patients may include total knee and hip replacements, complicated orthopedic cases, pulmonary, sepsis, gastrointestinal, endocrine, cardiac, renal, and psychiatric illnesses. Nurses will also work with titratable drips, chest tubes, tracheostomies, wound care, high‑oxygen delivery systems, and end‑of‑life care.
The unit is known for innovation and teamwork due to its pilot programs and strategic thinking, and its culture focuses on positivity and solutions over problems. Its nursing care delivery model is designed for efficiency and staffing models are based on patient acuity.

Full‑time or part‑time positions available. Third Shift – 7PM to 7:30AM.

Provide nursing care and identified clinical support tasks within the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) scope of practice for achievement of the patient's plan of care in conjunction with the registered nurse and/or medical staff.
Required Qualifications- LPN – graduate from an accredited school/college of nursing.
- Effective communication skills.
- Initiative, teamwork, and flexibility.
- Currently licensed as a practical nurse in the state of Nebraska or a current compact state license.
- BLS certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January1,2023 or later).
- Completion of an 8‑hour IV therapy didactic course if graduated prior to May1,2016 from an LPN program in Nebraska, or hold a license from a compact state and present proof of a curriculum that includes IV therapy, or complete the IV therapy course.
- Experience in a physician's office.
- Experience in a clinic setting.
- Proficiency in a secondary language.
- Participation in performance improvement activities.
