The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to residents.

Collaborates with residents, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues—including providers—to plan, implement, and evaluate care, demonstrating competency and practicing within the full scope of nursing expertise and appropriate age and population-specific standards.

Cares for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment, while coordinating care, conducting resident assessments, providing resident education, and performing various nursing interventions.

May serve as charge nurse, delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel within job descriptions, skill levels, resident care needs, and competence levels, ensuring safe, reliable administration of resident care and resolution of concerns.

Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred (e.g., CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA). Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.

Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practice occurs, and/or possesses multistate licensure in an NLC state. Holds required department‑specific competencies and certifications.
