ER Registered Nurse

Position Overview

Permanent, full-time position.

3 twelve-hour shifts per week (36 hours guaranteed).

Level IV Trauma Center.

Fast‑paced, high‑volume Emergency Department.

Collaborative team with strong support staff.

Pay range: $31.00 – $47.00 per hour (based on experience).

• Provide rapid assessment and care for patients in emergency situations.
• Manage a wide range of conditions including trauma, cardiac, and neurological cases.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical team members.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR.
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to clinical protocols.

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience (Required).
• Emergency Room experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
• Strong critical thinking and clinical decision‑making skills.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC certifications (Required).

• 30 private ER rooms.
• 6‑room Emergency Department Observation Unit (EDOU).
• 6 fast‑track beds for lower acuity cases.
• 1 seclusion room + 5 monitored rooms.
• Nurse‑to‑patient ratio: typically 1:3 or 1:4.
• Approximately 100 patients seen per day.
• Support staff includes 5 ER techs during peak hours.
• EMR:
  Allscripts (Sunrise).
• Medication system:
  Omnicell.
