Job Overview
Travel RN for PCU (Progressive Care Unit) at Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha. Start 06/22/2026, 13‑week contract, 12‑hour night shifts (19:00‑07:30). 36 hours per week. Travel assignment.
Responsibilities- Provide progressive care to adult pre‑ and post‑liver, kidney, pancreas, intestinal transplant patients and intestinal rehabilitation patients.
- Manage drips, central line care, telemetry, wound care, and other advanced nursing tasks.
- Float to additional units (CS, Neuro, HVU, Trauma, etc.) as required.
- Work nights with occasional 1:7 ratios while per policy allowing for 1‑2 weeks of RTO per contract if approved.
- Adhere to 100% nicotine‑free facility policies and mandatory use of company scrubs.
- Participate in mandatory charting class and EPIC charting.
- BLS & ACLS required (CPI, NIHSS optional).
- Minimum 2 years acute‑care experience in a large urban hospital; level I trauma experience preferred.
- EPIC charting experience required.
- Proficient in central line care, CV drips, vasoactive drips, BiPAP/CPAP, high‑flow nasal cannula, feeding tube management, cardiac drip management, tracheostomy care, PICC, heparin protocols, and wound care.
- Ability to float within scope to meet unit staffing needs.
