Job SummaryWe are seeking a compassionate and skilled Beautician to join our team at Emerald Nursing & Rehab Legacy Pointe, a respected skilled nursing facility. In this role, you will provide personal grooming and beauty services to our residents, enhancing their well-being and self-esteem. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure that each resident receives the highest quality care in a supportive and respectful environment.

Responsibilities- Personal Grooming Services:
Provide a range of beauty services, including haircuts, hair styling, coloring, manicures, pedicures, and shaving, tailored to the needs and preferences of each resident. Resident Care:
Deliver services with sensitivity and respect, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all residents. Adapt services as needed to accommodate mobility or medical conditions. - Hygiene and Safety:
Maintain strict hygiene and safety standards. Sterilize and sanitize equipment and tools and adhere to infection control protocols. - Consultation and Personalization:
Consult with residents to understand their personal grooming preferences and needs. Offer professional advice and recommendations to enhance their appearance and comfort. - Record Keeping:
Document services provided and maintain accurate records of each resident’s preferences and any special considerations. - Team
Collaboration:
Work closely with nursing staff and other team members to ensure that residents’ grooming needs are met and integrated into their overall care plan. - Customer Service:
Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring residents feel valued and cared for. Address any concerns or feedback promptly and professionally. - Facility Maintenance:
Keep the beauty salon area clean and organized. Report any maintenance issues or supply needs to management.
- Licensure:
Valid cosmetology or beautician license as required by state regulations. - Experience:
Previous experience in a salon or similar setting preferred. Experience working with elderly or individuals with special needs is a plus. - Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to perform a variety of beauty treatments with precision and care. - Empathy:
Demonstrated compassion and sensitivity in working with elderly or frail individuals. - Physical Stamina:
Ability to perform tasks that may require standing for extended periods and assisting residents with mobility challenges. - Attention to Detail:
High level of attention to detail in delivering services and maintaining records.
