Position Summary

To coordinate clinical research for investigators in the Pancreatic Cancer Center of Excellence (PCCE) mainly related to early detection of pancreatic cancer. This individual will need to plan, organize, implement, document, and evaluate clinical research activities. This individual will participate in screening clinic, assist with data collection, and collection of biological samples. This individual will be responsible for maintaining good clinical practices involving PCCE research protocols under the direction of the RN and MD providers.

Required Qualifications

Education: Relevant coursework/specialized training or equivalent

Experience: 1 year of nursing experience in medical, surgical, oncology, and/or hematology clinical research setting.

License: Current Nebraska LPN license or license eligible

Computer Applications: Microsoft Word

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Work schedule is 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday and requires working varied evenings/nights and weekends as needed and as determined by supervisor.
  • Knowledge of current nursing procedures, techniques, and practices. Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with other team members. Good communication skills.
  • Ability to attend to accuracy and detail required.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications

Education: LPN

License: Phlebotomy Certification or willing to obtain.

Computer Applications: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Preferred licensure/certification.
