Position

Radiation Oncology Staff Nurse – Part time (First Shift).

Shift: 0.5 FTE – 20 Scheduled Weekly Hours, Days Flexible 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, No Weekends, Holiday, or Call Required.

Job Duties

Provide, prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care with other health care providers to meet holistic care needs of a designated group of patients. The environment of care may be long‑term, emergent, critical, acute, interventional, or procedural driven.

Required Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork and flexibility.
  • Current registered nurse license in the state of Nebraska or a current compact state license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program; effective for new hires starting January1,2023or later.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (department dependent).
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (within 6 months of hire or transfer date, department dependent).
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) (within one year of hire or transfer date, department dependent).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct patient care experience.
  • Experience in cardiology, cardiac drip management, critical care, emergency department, medical‑surgical, obstetrics, cardiovascular rehabilitation, telemetry, oncology, neonatal intensive care, pediatric acute care, solid organ transplant, cath lab, EP lab, quality assurance in health care, perioperative and special procedures in applicable nursing specialty area.
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN).
  • Courses such as STABLE, smoking cessation counseling, basic critical care or other specialty training.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and email applications.
  • Proficiency with departmental equipment and systems such as patient care equipment, telecommunication systems, information systems, pneumatic tube system, general patient care supplies, and transport equipment.
