Registered Nurse

This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in medical/surgical and telemetry care. The unit is a fast-paced 45-bed specialty unit focusing on trauma patients. Care will primarily be provided for patients who are hemodynamically and medically stable. The ratios for patient care are 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night, with occasional 1:7 ratios. Participation in floating to meet staffing needs is expected.

Floating may include various units across the facility. Critical skills required include blood product administration, chest tube management, and IV insulin protocols. Experience with managing cardiac and vasoactive drips is necessary. Travelers are expected to work four weekends out of eight in a four-week period, with specific schedule requirements. Must comply with facility regulations regarding nicotine use. The facility requires adherence to holiday work commitments.

This role mandates prior experience in trauma care, and candidates must possess significant travel experience. Overall, the position calls for a proactive and adaptable nursing professional ready to meet diverse patient needs.
