Travel Stepdown RN

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Stepdown RN for a 13‑week travel assignment in Omaha, Nebraska.

• Provide care to patients transitioning from intensive care to medical‑surgical or general inpatient units.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities and respond appropriately.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments following approved nursing techniques, focusing on cardiac care.
• Prepare equipment and aid physicians during cardiac‑related procedures and examinations.
• Maintain awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients.
• Observe patients, record significant conditions and reactions, and notify supervisor or physician of cardiac status and response to interventions.
• Respond to life‑saving situations based on nursing standards, policies, procedures, and cardiac emergency protocols.
• Document nursing history and physical assessments for assigned telemetry patients.
• Initiate patient education plans with individualized focus on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle modifications.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for telemetry patients.
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards.

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

• Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, and bend.

• Grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment.

• Cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure.
• Work under close supervision occasionally, as well as without assistance from other personnel.

• Possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate.
